The Skerin site is intended to provide a worthy contribution to the fine arts of knitting and crochet. The site is new and it is hoped you will wish to visit regularly to view the progress and observe my development curve as improvements are made for your benefit.
Skerin Knitting and Crochet is all about facilitating ease and enjoyment in experiencing these fine arts, so be prepared to go for the Skerin E2RIDE©™… facilitating a state of Ease and Enjoyment to Read, Interpret, Dissect and Execute written patterns. Patterns are user-friendly with mindfulness toward "E2©". Many Skerin patterns include additional detailed technique tutorials and/or how-tos just in case they are needed. And most patterns have LOTS of photos that go with the how-tos! Patterns are in pdf format emailed after payment. Skerin takes pride in being available just about 24/7 for guru 911 needs to get unstuck.
No Knitstinction©™Skerin carries a favorite "Best Darn Yarn Tender" for the needs of the wandering skein. Skerin also hosts a collection of out-of-print and hard-to-find needlework books available on this site. Students of Skerin's local classes have access to a 4000 book in-house library. The door is always open. Visit, have high tea, and dive into a sea of tranquility surrounded by these fine arts including the large library and studio with an entire wall of swatch samples. Skerin knitting and crochet goods and services include beginner, intermediate and advanced knitting and crochet classes, custom lessons, institutional teaching, beach getaways and vacation camps on the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean City, MD, custom research and design, displays, lectures and public speaking. Most group classes are extended by request. Student curriculum includes the Skerin PCM© Learning Tool, an adjunct to the E2RIDE© concept. A popular specialty service is repair and refurbishment of sweaters and other fine needlework and heirlooms.
